GlobalTalk is built on the belief that everyone deserves to connect with others in a safe, respectful environment. These guidelines outline our expectations for community behavior and help maintain the quality of our platform.
By using GlobalTalk, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, or permanent bans depending on severity.
Core Principles
Be Respectful
Treat others with kindness and courtesy, even when disagreeing. Personal attacks, harassment, bullying, or discriminatory language have no place here.
Be Authentic
Use your real identity. Do not impersonate others, create fake profiles, or misrepresent yourself. Authenticity builds trust within our community.
Be Safe
Look out for yourself and others. Report suspicious behavior, never share sensitive personal information, and respect boundaries.
Be Legal
Follow all applicable laws. Do not use GlobalTalk for illegal activities including fraud, harassment, or sharing prohibited content.
What We Do Not Allow
Harassment & Bullying
- Targeted harassment of individuals or groups
- Threats of violence or harm
- Stalking or persistent unwanted contact
- Doxxing (sharing private information)
Inappropriate Content
- Nudity or sexually inappropriate material
- Hate speech based on race, religion, gender, orientation, etc.
- Graphic violence or gore
- Promotion of self-harm or harmful behaviors
Fraud & Deception
- Scams, phishing, or fraudulent schemes
- Impersonation of others or organizations
- Fake profiles or catfishing
- False claims or misleading information
Commercial Misuse
- Spam or unsolicited promotions
- Selling products/services without authorization
- Pyramid schemes or multi-level marketing
- Using automation/bots to interact
Privacy Violations
- Recording conversations without consent
- Sharing private messages or content publicly
- Requesting personal information like address, SSN, etc.
- Pressure to move communication off-platform for privacy
Enforcement & Consequences
Our moderation team reviews reports and monitors activity 24/7. Depending on the violation, we may take the following actions:
Content Removal
Violating content will be removed immediately to maintain community standards.
Warning
First-time or minor violations may result in a formal warning and temporary restrictions.
Temporary Suspension
Repeated or serious violations lead to temporary account suspension (7-30 days).
Permanent Ban
Severe violations—including illegal activity, harassment, or fraud—result in immediate permanent account termination.
Appeals: If you believe your account was wrongfully suspended, contact support for review. We take each case seriously and will respond within 48 hours.
Reporting Violations
If you witness behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it:
- In Chat: Click the "..." menu and select "Report User"
- On Profile: Use the Report button on any profile page
- Email: Send details to [email protected]
Include as much detail as possible—usernames, timestamps, screenshots—to help our team investigate quickly. We never disclose reporter identity to reported users.
Emergency: If someone is in immediate danger, contact local authorities first, then report to us.
